Literacy Loop Mural
Playful learning as an access point to literacy.
As part of the Louis H. Farrell School’s revitalization, we were invited to create a 10,000 square foot interactive ground mural designed to increase literacy skills through guided play, storytelling, and conversation.

We developed math games that would engage a variety of personality types and play styles. They each offer a different opportunity for using the body as a ‘manipulative’ in collaborative, paired or solo formats. Using the body deepens learning.
Over 3 months, we laid out and hand painted the mural in the new playground.
